Is the free plan really free, or is it a trial?
It's really free, forever. No trial clock, no credit card, no "introductory pricing." Unlimited 1:1 messaging, full history, full search, and TXT/CSV export are all included on the free plan, and they will stay that way.
Do both parents have to pay?
No. Ever. If one parent chooses to add a paid feature like the shared calendar or a Court Pack export, that unlocks it for the family — you are never charged twice for the same thing.
Can I use these messages in court?
Yes. Messages are timestamped and can't be edited or deleted after sending. When you need a court-ready bundle, Court Pack produces a paginated PDF export with attachments for $24, one time, per case.
Can my attorney or mediator see our messages?
Only if you invite them. You can add one read-only professional viewer for free on any family account. They see the same timestamped record you do — nothing more.
Do I need to download an app?
No. coparent.now runs in any modern browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. If you'd like, you can add it to your home screen like any other app — but there's nothing to install from an app store.
What happens to my messages if I stop using the service?
Your records are yours. You can export your full message history as TXT or CSV at any time — while you're a user and before you leave — with no paywall.
